Whether they are behind the camera or in front of it, this is the place to discuss all filmmakers regardless of their role in the filmmaking process.

I always enjoyed listening to his commentaries which were among the most knowledgeable and informative out there. Fittingly, his last commentary was on the Blu-ray of Ford's The Last Hurrah.

Twilight Time is a weird label, and an even stranger business model, but they have enabled me to get my hands on some films I wouldn't have gotten otherwise. (Except for one I bought as a gift, I've only ever bought them on sale because of the price.) I liked what he was trying to do, even though I'm not wild about the way he went about it, so he definitely deserves a salute.

The Oscar nominated documentarian was the man behind Twilight Time, the boutique Blu-ray company responsible for the release of hundreds of films that might not otherwise have seen the light of day in the format.

He died after a two-year battle with cancer. He was just 63.
