I don't know who's most responsible for the screenwriting excellence of American Graffiti, since none of them went on to anything that matched it in quality. But a salute for contributing to one of my favorite films of the 70s.

It was a quick downfall, though: only two years later, Lucky Lady was viewed as a complete dud. And Howard the Duck, a decade later, put her and her husband into the disgraced category for good. Sic transit gloria mundi.
