Why can not this be true? Even with Sorvino remaining the winner, it would have been definitely a better end result than the actual one, just a shame...

Wasn't it agreed upon that everyone gets to go back and change one of their choices? Would anyone like to take care of the above?

Well, I believe Zahveed made that selection, so it would have to be him to make the change...perhaps we can persuade him to do so...?

If it pleases the board, I made my selection once based on original theatrical posters.

The only game that should be played by Oscar completists or near-completists is Russian roulette. ;)

And even then you'd probably get luckier with the gun.

Let's back down for a moment. I know some of our selections aren't pleasing to others, especially when we've not seen all of the nominees. I want us to have fun with this and not turn into a flame war. Please, guys, it's just a game.

That's your opinion and you're welcome to it, but the game was opened to everyone to play and there was no requirement that you had to see 100% of the films nominated. I have been working my way through a number of movies trying to catch myself up to others, but that will and does take time.

I'm not going to stop participating in a game that I enjoy just because someone has a problem with a handful of my selections. And for the record, I am not the only one who has taken away or given an award because that individual has received or had taken away an award elsewhere in the game. And I'm not the only one to recognize someone when we are certain they are going to be removed elsewhere, so it's not like I'm playing differently than others.

Well, in my opinion, this is a perfect example of someone who should've abstained from taking on a particular category.

It was me. And I also stated that I gave it to Shelley Winters in large part because her other wins were going to be stripped from her and it was my opportunity to make sure she got rewarded.

Well, sad as it is, maybe (maybe) that was the most honest way to vote, if the person in question (who was it by the way?) didn't have any more passes left...

In this case, no. The person stated that Shelley Winters' performance was the only one they had seen.
