The Women (Diane English, 2008) 2/10

I liked Candice Bergen and Annette Bening. There was absolutely no need for this remake.

The Edge of Heaven (Fatih Akin, 2007) 8/10

The plot's a bit convoluted, but there are many beautiful moments in this film. Ultimately quite poignant.

Curious Case of Benjamin Button

9/10

Great film.

Taraji P. Henson and Alexandre Desplat don't deserve Oscars, but i hope the film will take Makeup and Visual Effects awards.
Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett are marvellous!

Coraline looks very stiff, not as fluid as most other stop-motion films. I'm iffy on seeing it based on that alone.

I think I was expecting a sort of ''Out of Africa'' touch here with sweeping music and visuals.....but this was more MTV with the flashy editing and camera movements a la Moulin Rouge! And Kidman was so annoying throughout although Hugh Jackman was good.

Australia (Baz Luhrmann, 2008) 3/10

What an unnecessarily long film! And boring to boot. However, reared on corny Bollywood melodramas the ending made me cry.....maybe it was relief that the film had finally ended.

Pineapple Express 4/10

I watched this only because I heard good things about James Franco's performance, and he didn't disappoint. He's way funnier in this than RDJ is in Tropic Thunder. It's a duuuuumb movie, but it gets a few points for making me laugh several times.

Defiance 1/10

What a laughable script!
