If our thus far 15 predictions mirror the Academy's thinking, then the nominees will be Dern (15 out of 15), Lopez (14 out of 15), Robbie (13 out of 15), Bates (7 out of 15) and Shuzhen (6 out of 15).

I'm going with:

Laura Dern, Marriage Story
Jo Leo-Jeong, Parasite
Jennifer Lopez, Hustlers
Florence Pugh, Little Women
Margot Robbie, Bombshell

Dern, Lopez & Robbie feel like locks. The other two could easily be replaced by any number of people on the list including the unmentioned Anna Paquin.

BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS
Laura Dern, Marriage Story
Scarlett Johansson, Jojo Rabbit
Jennifer Lopez, Hustlers
Margot Robbie, Bombshell
Shuzhen Zhao, The Farewell

But I'm not certain about Johansson or Zhao, who could be replaced by Kathy Bates (her film is a divisive flop), Annette Bening (though The Report hasn't been widely seen), Nicole Kidman (not a standout perf), Florence Pugh (Little Women isn't a draw yet), or Da'Vie Joy Randolph (maybe? the film just hasn't been taken seriously yet). I think Johansson is the most vulnerable.

I believe so, that she has much of a chance in either category.

Is Adele Haenel being campaigned as supporting because she is co-lead. Not that that has ever stopped the studios/distributors.

I'll do this for all four acting categories.

The Oscar nominations will be announced on January 13th. Let's see if our collective guesses match the Academy's.

The poll will only take 20 options so out of the nineteen possible nominees listed and a write-in, pick five you think will most likely be nominated. If choosing a write-in, it would be helpful to put the name in a comment.

You can change your vote any time you want, just X out the candidate you're eliminating and put your X next to the one you want to designate instead.

The poll will run through January 12th, the day before the nominations are announced.
