I watched Jake Kasdan's The T.V. Set this afternoon based on a relatively positive review in Sight and Sound.
Whilst I was indifferent to the film overall Sigourney Weaver certainly stood out and delivered the best performance in the film. "Fuck".

He won in the supporting category for 1995's 12 Monkeys. Hirsch makes his debut here, as does (rather surprisingly) Day-Lewis. I guess My Left Foot kind of fell off the radar for me in 1989, despite nominations for supp. actress and screenplay. I was torn between categories in 2002 for his Gangs of New York role. His performance this year was too powerful to ignore, and he finally wins.
