Number 19 on the playlist.

Now, tbf, there is that little issue of it being "unlisted"... but the video IS there.

I would think Adrien Brody's speech would be taken down not because of Polanski, but because he forced a kiss on Halle Berry.

Didn't Ronald Harwood thank Polanski when he won for his script? Is his speech on the site?

In any event, the comments on the YouTube channel regarding the kiss indicate that the speech was removed from Oscar's YouTube channel at least two years ago. See the replies under the comment from Lord Stark of five years ago.

Two years ago would have been right after Polanski's expulsion from the Academy, but that was at the height of the MeToo# movement so it could have been either that or the kiss or both.

My point was, since the Oscars still has the kiss up on its Youtube channel, then we could conclude that it probably wasn't the reason why his speech was removed.

Adrien Brody's speech on YouTube

Post by Reza »

You can find the entire 2002 Oscar show on YouTube. However, the channel has cut Adrien Brody's speech from it. This is some new development. You could before also find just his speech (without the whole show) on the channel just as most everyone's speeches are on it but lately Brody's speech has been removed.

Does anyone know why YouTube removed it? Was it because he kissed Halle Berry in a non-consensual way or could it be because he thanked Roman Polanski?
