No, Jack.

I updated Geraldine McEwan, but art direction and sound mixing are both Group 3. You need to pick one or the other and make a selction from Group 2 - writing, music, editing or cinematography.

I think there is a difference between hoping that by 2013, we will have victory, and saying that we will draw down our troops by a particular day. This isn't an age issue, but a hope issue. I don't recall him sayign he's "hoping", it was more like his looking into a crystal ball and empha...

Group One I am tempted to preserve Diane Keaton's marvelous performance in Something's Gotta Give, but choosing between Keaton and Samantha Morton is like being given Sophie's Choice. It's you're going to kill one of them, you may as well kill them both. Instead I'm going to replace Lost in Transla...

OK, I determined that the song "Here's to Love" was written by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman, and is not a cover of a previously written song by the same name.

II: In Song, I will replace Belleville Rendez-vous with "You Belong to Me" from Mona Lisa Smile (Tori Amos). Are songs written in 1952 accepted as "original" for our purposes if the recording is newly made for the film? No, the song must be original. I should have realized "...

Agreed. Also, check out her performance in Control. She gets bettter all the time. An Oscar can't be all that far off.

Oh no Man! Are you sure? Not to worry, Mystic River was subsequently rescued. Thanks Pen, I appreciate very much your gesture! I´m planning to rescue Samantha Morton. Unfortunately, Hustler, it's a long way to go to your turn. In the interim someone is sure to either preserve Diane Keaton's wonderf...

Cool trailer, but it took 4 1/2 minutes to downlaod and only 48 seconds to play. I almost gave up waiting!

I'm saying that in 20 years, he says he was oblivious to Wright's statements. He never publicly acknowledged the Wright was saying the wrong things until he was cornered. He halfheartedly made vague pronouncements that he didn't agree with what the media was showing, but that he never once heard su...

Sorry Big Magilla, Morton is wondeful but she is in my supporting actress ballot. And i thought that Evan Rachel Wood gave a brave performance that was much better than Hughes or Thurman, whose performances i really didn't care about. But i agree Keaton and Watts were better than her. Funny, i thou...

Against my better judgment I made the changes except for your third pick. Isn't cinematography part of Group 2?

I don't know where imdb. gets its 1959 reference. This is a film with a troubled release pattern. It was was not shown in N.Y. until the Museum of Modern Art screened it in 1963. The N.Y. Times did not review it until it played the N.Y. Film Festival in 1968. However, Inside Oscar lists it as Oscar...

FilmFan is either on his way to, or already in Greece. It's Oscar Guy's turn.

Keaton and Morton were the class acts among the women. Beyond them it's all fill-in for me. My choices were Theron, Watts and Johanssen, but Castle-Hughes was a nice surprise. Garai is, too, in fact now that I think about it she may be a better choice than any of the three fill-ins I had. I've alwa...
