She looked pissed when she hit the stage, but glad she won regardless. If you can recall, Clooney also gave a shout-out to Hattie M when he won.

All Sidibe, and to a lesser degree Mulligan, will be doing is siphoning votes from Streep, Because they're all obese, black 60 year old Brits? It's not hard to assume that members who were going to vote for Streep mainly to stop the Bullock train could have easily gotten swayed away by the recent wi...

One thing to be certain about the Academy today is that they don't like being bullied into a vote. All this talk about how dare they skip over Meryl again will only make voters do just that. Remember Sony's tasteless Shoreh Agdashloo ad which had no qualms in making eventual winner Renee seem unwor...

This is the one category in which there are few surprises and the media hype and enthusiastic ovations Sandra has been getting are clear enough indications for me that most actors will be checking off her name, especially with Roger Ebert now a supporter. He was no doubt instrumental in Berry, Ther...

They may still be about to go under, but the Weinsteins do have the most nominations of any studio this year with 13. And Meryl Streep has left Katharine Hepburn in the dust once again: Not only does her sixteenth nomination put her even farther ahead of Hepburn on the all-time acting nominations l...

I actually called this one back in Jan 2009, too right after her Sundance win :D

Her beginning and final soliloquies completely blew me away.

Do you guys really think Precious could upset? I thought the movie was very solid overall, but I still think the Tyler Perry stamp might cost it some votes in the big category. Lionsgate does seem to be putting in extra work in the ads dept, though.
