Wow, this is like the first time I got both Actress categories wrong. I wonder if this'll be Julie's last shot at another Oscar?

Oh, and I almost didn't recognize Tilda!

I knew this was going to happen but refused to put it into any predictions because to be associated with such a thing in any way was just too dirty and unappetizing. Academy voters are philistines, and not vert bright. Oh well, Julie will forecer be a screen icon and La Jambon will be one of those ...

I think it's pretty safe to say Ronan's nomination is her reward. Ditto for Tilda. I reckon voters also would rather see Cate Blanchett win best lead actress in the next few years than for another gimmicky supp. performance. With the Ryan vs. Blanchett bout too strong I just don't see how veteran R...

I haven't seen any of the nominated actress' films, a first here, but I have seen SAG winner Queen Latifah's work. I think had Life Support been an indie instead if a cable film she would've been a serious threat here. She was phenomenal.

Totally called it early on and another great career tribute. She's a very safe bet for Oscar, another award that's actually younger than her!

Wow, I know I'm late on this but congrats sijmen!!! I know firsthand how maintaining a full-time job can unfortunately keep you away from here, but it looks like your other work is paying off big time! I hope to follow in your footsteps with my screenplay!:)

In the press Angelina Jolie is this year's unofficial face of the slighted(I wonder if that distinction does as well for your career as if you were indeed nominated?), but I am kind of surprised that Keener got excluded as well. I really thought she was well liked by her peers.

Steph, don't forget she also, along with late hubbie Ossie Davis won the SAG lifetime achievement a few years ago and, she is arguably actually more respected in the industry than Stuart was during the Titanic era. As for her screen time, I could be wrong, but I'm almost positive it clocked in long...

I realize that I may be in the minority on this one, but I seriously think Rube Dee is a quiet threat to be reckoned with in a category that's been overripe for an upset. I think it's actually to her benefit that Cate and Amy are such strong front-runners as I can easily seeing some voters splittin...

Some of us may have been underestimating TWBB and NCFOM's chances for winning Best Pic as they were they only one nominated for Editing. Oh, and Kenner and Jolie were this year's Dennis Quaid no doubt.

I think that's right, Penelope. Man, I am FLOORED by Jolie, Penn & Kenner's exclusions. Regarding Best Actress it's kind of surprising that with all the nominations Atonement got, Keira couldn't take out Linney. As for Best Actor, it only goes to show that if you're a respected Oscar-winning ve...

Cool! Sonic, it's kinda surprising that they passed over Angelina, a star they adore. LOL! But Mashari, I meant to predict Julie Christie. Have you ever tried hooking up with someone from a modelling agency? That might alleviate your ingenue fixation. LOL, actually I have. She dumped me!
