Re: Best Original Song
I've heard this song on the local pop station, the local urban station and the local NPR music station. It's at "Hey Ya!" level crossover success.
But "Let It Go" is still going to win.

Re: Evaluating the Nominees
2) That's the first positive thing I've heard about it. How many of the nominees do you hate? Just two -- Dallas Buyers Club and Nebraska -- but had it been the 10th nominee, I'd have ranked Osage alongside the very soft middle of the pack along with Philomena , Captain Phillips and American Hustle .

Re: Evaluating the Nominees
1) Since when has winning an award been a mark of whether you'll like a movie or not?
2) Osage, for all its many faults, has as much going for it as at least five of the best picture nominees.
3) You're a misogynist pig. Just like Tracy Letts.

Re: Best Original Song
Showtunes night is the great equalizer. Among the gays who, you know, would actually be caught dead at showtunes night. Here again, the pogo-inducing euphoria of Pharrell's track is a better fit with my particular breed of gay -- see the guy 4 minutes into the 10 a.m. hour of the 24-hour video, for...

Re: Best Original Song
OK, so I'm not saying "Let It Go" isn't going to win, but damn if this "Happy" song hasn't shown remarkable legs. If everyone hadn't already called this contest done months ago, I think the fact that this song is somehow peaking half a year after the movie it accompanied left the...

Re: Categories One-By-One: Supporting Actress
I've been pleasantly surprised that, Eric aside, even such a Payne-averse community as this board has mostly responded quite favorably to Nebraska. You might be even more pleasantly surprised to find that, my intense hatred of the film on the whole aside, I am a comparative fan of what Squibb does ...
