It's also likely that Winslet had enough votes to be nominated in support for The Reader but had more in lead. Her exclusion paved the way for somebody. I'd be willing to bet(which is easy to do because we'll never know) that winslet had enough votes to get a lead nomination for both the reader and...

I've used netflix for the last couple years and have had nothing but success. I think i've had 1 damaged disks and i probably get about 100 movies a year from them. And i've never had a film that they didn't have in stock because of too many people renting it. I live fairly close to a center i thin...

Unlike i think everybody on this board, i've always liked howard for the most part. Aside from some obvious missteps early in his career and recently i think he's made some very good films including A Beautiful Mind. I thought frost/nixon, cinderella man, a beautiful mind, apollo 13 and parenthood ...

Overall i guess i'm dissappointed...mainly because of the love of the reader, which i did think was a very good film, but there was just better and more exciting choices. I thought kate was amazing in both but better in revolutionary road and i thought revolutionary road was the better film. And i ...

I'd absolutely love to hear dewitt's name espesially after she was basically ignored this awards season. She was so good that i assumed she would be all over the place this season after i saw the film. Now i don't want that to be in place of adams, i'm one who thinks she deserves the attension. But...

Unlike most people on this board i'm a very big fan of frost/nixon...but that lineup that eric predicted would probably be by far the most interesting lineup to talk about leading up to the awards...and probably get the best ratings out of any other possible lineup...so i think i'm rooting for this...

Spoilers I finally saw this film and i have to say i didn't like it very much. The good, it was so great to look at and listen too musically. I remember thinking to myself on several occations how beautiful this movie is. Also good was the acting, blanchett was very good, henson was very good, osmo...
