Are you by any chance working on anything else that might take you back to the Oscars someday soon? I would love to write a screenplay for a feature film now... but having a more than a full time time job and having a family really absorbs my time. I hope to find a way to write at least a day per w...

I know I'm a bit full of myself on these boards... I apologize... but I found a picture of me at the magnolia website

The picture of me with Anja Daelemans and Guido Thys

I'm the youngest guy, dressed in black...

And from now on, I'll stop talking about myself. I promise.

Thank you, Barry. But I personally prefer losing from Mozart than losing from At Night, which had great acting, but that story was a bit too silly and melodramatic (three pretty young girls with cancer, two of them die, and lots lots lots of tears). My favorite was The Substitute... But again, than...

I hope that those Cotillard remarks aren't true. (and I don't believe that they are. It's like that article that appeared after the 2003 Oscars that said Roman Polanski was mad as hell because Adrien Brody didn't thank him. Which was one big lie) That said, I thought that Cotillard's win was one of...

Okay, so now you found me! I apologize for the language confusion (I was the fourth person next to the winner, but there were three people between us) So, what does swag mean? If you mean the goodie bags, we didn't get any unfortunately... I met Dominique Deruddere who was nominated a few years bac...

Well, I've seen it now, and I think Sonic Youth, you're mistaken me for sombody else. I don't see anybody clapping as enthousiatically as I am. And I didn't work on that, although our publicist (yes, we had a publicist) warned us: when the winner is announced you'll be on television so be glad for ...

Steven Soderbergh, Ron Howard, Roman Polanski, Peter Jackson, Clint Eastwood, Ang Lee, Martin Scorsese, Joel & Ethan Coen. This is (except for one) an impressive list of winners. If they can keep it up for another two years, this will be Oscar's most impressive decade for best director winners ...

I haven't seen it myself yet, but people tell me I was on television when the short film winner was announced. I was sitting in he same row as the winner, with four people between us. When the winner was announced I moved my head towards him, and according to my wife, by doing so just came into fra...

Well, the experience was too much fun to be frustrated over the loss :-) I didn't saw Katherine Heigl unfortunately, but I got hooked up with Heidi Klum and Miley Cyrus... (well, if 'passing by' can pass for 'getting hooked up with') 'Mozart' is a fun little gem, and the director is a friendly humb...

Yes, LOTS of coverage. I'm very pleasantly surprised. (and boo to EW) I hope you catch it some day, Wes. After reading all these articles, it looks like a race between At Night and The Tonto Woman. I haven't seen any of them yet, but conventional wisdom tells us that in this category the weirdest t...

Please go the shorts and tell me what you think. Today, I found several articles, some sayinh good, others saying awful things about Tanghi. LA Times mentions me, but they didn't care much for the film. This is what has been written about Tanghi: "The slender joke of the Belgian “Tanghi Argent...

Finally! I found articles about the Oscar shorts! And it's amazing how different the opnions are. Tanghi Argentini is the favourite of some, but others label it as forgetable. From what I read At Night seems to be the front runner, and Tanghi Argentini is a possible spoiler - well, maybe I'm too op...

I found a 1 minute clip from Tanghi Argentini. It doens't say much, and it probably spoils the experience if you ever watch the entire film, but it gives an impression. http://www.flanders-image.com/content....all.mov (I actually tried to remove this post, that's how nervous I'm to your reactions.....

I hope at least some people here find an opportunity to see the short films. I can't wait to learn what the UAADB thinks of Tanghi Argentini.

Anja will be in New York for screening of Tanghi and the other shorts and pannel discussions on the 16th...
