Re: Welcome to the 97th Academy Awards

I don't know...half a dozen fresh titles about which I should have enthusiasm. By no means am I touting an ability to parse your specific tastes and/or what might "excite" you on paper...NOR say what enthuses ME should at all do the same for you ...BUT... while many of the films mentioned...

Lachman for me....nuff said ...as rough a "memory" of Oscar history as ever....not to speak ill of the dead, but the timing RIGHT at ballot time...oof Wish he at least could've gotten a "makeup" for Carol. Sure there's no precedent I can find in the nearly 60 years of combined ca...

Re: 2023 Grammy Awards

She is like if Jennifer Garner released an album tomorrow full of mediocre pop songs with objectively poor lyrics about Ben Affleck and Chad Lowe, and every review of the album hailed it in the same breath as OK Computer . Maybe the MOST phenomenally put together sentence I've read in a long time!

Good ole days

Responding to Greg's query on the history ...and Magilla mentioned 1998...I feel like '98 or just prior is correct...Oscar Guy would be able to hammer this down for near certainty. It used to show those exact dates under our name/avatar but now I think we have to click into the individual profile an...

I don't have the dedication of most of you whom I respect so highly to go so all our as you have...luckily I can read yours and enjoy (plus as always await Tee's preamble: No guts no glory prediction for me... Best Director Justine Triet- Anatomy of a Fall Greta Gerwig- Barbie Christopher Nolan- Opp...

What feels like 14 seconds ago:

“You can be the most worthless Republican in America, if you kiss the ring, Trump will say you are wonderful.”

Now drops out and piles on Haley like he never even was "in the running"....what a fucking country in which many of us live 🤦‍♂️

2) It's staggering we've been in tandem long enough that your kids have reached wise-ass age. Staggering is damn right....haha...when we first "met" I was a zit riddled brace-laced "child" and I now celebrate 17 years with my wife this year and have 5 of those wise ass soon to b...

Re: Nominations Announcement

Are the nominees still presented in alphabetical order? Tee, I think you would do a fun rundown back in the day of different scenarios when certain names didn’t come up at first, based on that. One of the best reads every single year...bar none I had no idea it was that popular. Been making me look...

Re: Nominations Announcement

It's just an overt act of hoping the "youth movement" will get interested in what most under 30 consider completely erroneous awards.

Zazie Beetz and Jack Quaid for when Sydney Sweeney and Noah Centineo aren't available 🤣🤣

Re: 2023 Emmy Awards

Because we have the ability to look this far back (already? 1999 was a quarter century ago!) I think Jason Alexander probably IS the correct answer...in terms of "if someone watched Seinfeld in its entirety then was told Jason Alexander had a Larroquette/Hyde Pierce/Don Knott's type run", ...
